Everyday Software
Your wishes. Your privacy.
Effective October 8, 2026
Wishify is a wish list and gift planning app from Everyday Software. Here is what we collect, why we need it, and what you can control.
What we collect
When you create an account, we store your name, email address, account identifier, and profile photo if you provide one. We also store your wish lists, gift links, photos, notes, prices, family groups, invitations, and gift claims, including the name of the person claiming a gift.
Opening a shared list or invitation creates an anonymous account identifier. To claim a gift, you enter a name. Your browser remembers that name and your sign-in so you can return to your claims. Clearing browser storage or using another device may prevent you from undoing those anonymous claims.
How we use and store it
We use this information to show your lists, connect family members, remember gift claims, prevent duplicate gifts, and answer support requests. Account and app data are stored in Google Firebase, which provides our hosting, sign-in, and database services. These services process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and protect the service.
We do not show ads, sell your personal data, or use it for targeted advertising.
Who can see your wishes
A shared list can be viewed by anyone with its link, including people outside your family group. People shopping from the list can see gift claims and the names attached to them. The web page hides claims until someone taps the shopping button. This keeps accidental spoilers out of sight; it is not an identity check. Keep sensitive information out of shared lists.
In the app, the list's surprise setting controls whether its owner can see claims. Family members can see the names and profile information shared in their family group. Anyone with an invitation link can see the family name and inviter's name.
Store links and product images
Opening a Buy link takes you to the retailer, whose own privacy policy applies. Loading a product image may contact the site hosting that image. Wishify may use affiliate links in the future; if so we will say so next to the link. Qualifying purchases may then earn us a commission. We do not add your name, account identifier, or family information to store links.
Your choices and deletion
You can edit or remove wishes and change sharing settings in the app. Delete your account in Settings, or email jude@everydaysoftware.ai for help, including deletion of anonymous web claims. We may ask for information to verify that the request is yours.
Account deletion removes your account, your lists and their items and claims, your own gift claims, and your family memberships. We keep information while it is needed to provide the service, unless you delete it or request deletion. Limited records may remain where required for security, legal obligations, or backup retention.
Children and parent-managed lists
Wishify is not directed to children under 13. Parents create and manage lists for their children. Children under 13 should not create accounts or submit information themselves. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us so we can investigate and remove it.
